Our city just passed an ordinance limiting the number of dogs a person or family can have to 2. I hate this kind of legislation. It seems to put a big bandage over an unknown problem.
Lately, I've become very concerned about BSL for any dog really but my heart is with the bullies.
Do you have some stupid ordinance or BSL in your area? Or near you? There's all these horror stories!

Here APBT are banned. They fall under dangerous dog act 1.a)
AmStaffs fall under 1. b) which means they must be muzzled in public and must be registered to the local police office. |

There is supposed to be a "pit bull type" ban, as well as a few other breeds, banned on our base. Its not enforced though since there are several banned breeds, including the bullies living there.
I have been trying to work to get the regs rewritten, but the commander is an idiot so I have been able to get everyone on board but him.
Also been writing letters and sending them out to the states when i get a chance to see something coming up.
Didnt I see a while back that Miami dade was repealing theirs?? |
