I see no pedigrees, no titles, no OFA hips; were hearts done by a cardiologist?

To be perfectly honest I have an issue with breeding for a color rather than the all around dog, with health clearances and titles at one end or the other.

You can breed for color as long as you do everything else with it and breed for color that right way. IMO They do have brindles and blacks.. That is one step..

I agree Larry, but as you know breeding for a dilute color has problems of it's own. We should be breeding, as I said, for other qualities with color being the last of those qualities.

What do these people do with their dogs since I see no titles. I can tell you this, I always tell people if you are not breeding to show, to save a line, for performance then don't breed!

Oh I agree M.. No one should breed for PET quality... But I didn't see all blues or fawns.. I seen ALOT of blacks and brindles which means To me. IF you are breeding towards ONE color there are right and wrong ways..

But are you saying breeding the color blue is not breeding toward show??

i like that color as that's how my dog which was stolen looked, thats why im looking for something like that. but in all reality i dont care what color he/she will be as long as me and my wife would agree on.

I just looked at that person's site.. On their list of puppies available they have a few brindles pictured.. but what got me was even though they're brindles they have horrible nose pigment.. One , a dark dark brindle, has NO pigment on his nose.. I've never seen that.. Is this something common in certain lines? What causes that?

complete lack of pigment is a new one on me.. especially on such a dark and rich looking brindle..

You are seeing it on more red dogs aswell.. The red breeders bitch about blue breeders but isn't it worst when you breed PIGMENT and lose it.. Now what is worst?? I know the answer to that one..lol

M,, I thing I also think is breeding for color is or was ok when it was RED!!! They did it for years.. It is only a issue with blues because it was hurting the red breeders wallets and there popularity. Rumors were made about blues so the reds could get their business back IMO. LOL
