well as i was reading the posts for ear cropping i get very confused and i really don't know what to do at the moment with my puppy.
so i have an amstaff puppy now he is 12 weeks old i know that this is the right time for cropped ears but i was talking to the owner of the kennel from where i buy the puppy and he says that its better to wait until the puppy reach the 3 months of age before cutting the ears because its better to let the head develop to have a clear view of how big or small we should cut his ears. I asked also the price in a vet clinic for ears cropping and they said it will cost me 150 euros so i would like to know if this price is good or not. Thenx for your answers (sorry for my english) very nice web keep the good work

You can find vets who cropping for 300 euros and 50 euros. Do you see dogs whose ears were cropped by this vet?? In MO this is the most important.

I agree! The most important thing is making sure the vet is experienced in cropping AmStaffs. Ask for pictures of dogs they have done or if they can provide you with references. I saw someone go to a vet to get ears cropped because the vet told them that they cropped ears all the time. The ears were VERY tall after they were cropped, it turned out the vet DID have a lot of experience, but it was with Dobermans.

Three months should be a fine age to get the puppy's ears cropped.
