I was just looking for a little more information regarding agility training/jumping.
I have done a little research, but was looking for some other people's opinions who might have experience with agility training...

From my research, it seemed that the consensus of most trainers is that if the dog has gone through basic obedience, they should be able to start some sort of agility training/jumping...

Does anyone have any other suggestions or information regarding agility training? I am interested in possibly starting Junior sometime soon (he is a year old).

I had the opportunity to work with a nice dog this past fall in beginner agility because his owner can't run...we had a great time! It was an introduction to obstacles course.

I think it's a great sport if your dog gets along well with others, there is alot of standing around and waiting in line in training in close proximity to other dogs, so it's not as fast paced as one would think, and your dog must have some basic obedience.

There is a training facility in the Rochester area that I have heard good things about, I can put you in touch with a friend in the Rochester area that has taken classes there if you are interested

Thanks for the information Wyldmoonwoman!! I actually found that site when I was looking around- it isn't far from us either. We are going to get a little more obedience under our belt first!!
