Now Jean. LOL

I am being serious.lol When I was trying to learn about hearts and no one was telling me crap and I did a breeding.. Then Ruth contacted me and for no reason other then to help someone she didn't even know.. I went then and tested my dogs and two of the failed.. My point is that if Ruth didn't teach me about testing and so on, then I would have probably bred those dogs again... I have heard things in the pass and I wasn't around then but I have never had a issue with her and she has ALWAYS tried to help when I ask. I don't know her pass other then things in the rumor mills. I don't know her real well but I know she was always there when I had a question.. I was on board asking alot of questions and not one person would help because I was new to the boards.. So who do I have no respect for?, People that won't help someone in this breed or someone that helped someone that they didn't know and had anything to gain from it??

I think there are a lot of people that have some great knowledge in this breed but I think some use their knowledge for evil and some for the good. Meaning,, Some will try to help with their knowledge and teach and others will use it to make you look bad and be know it alls.. JMO

Okay, I will play nice here. The truth usually outs itself anyway.

BUT, (LOL, can't quite let it go) IMO, if a breeder has the time and the space and the whatever to breed litter upon litter upon litter for DECADES, wouldn't you think if they were doing things right they would produce SOMETHING? Develop a type, set their style, become a respected mentor and contributor to the breed? I would hope to have produced several National Specialty winners in a thousand puppies of careful breeding....but then there's the not so careful, for-profit kinda breeder.... I do have personal experience with the flip side of the rumors, and I don't care what you have heard, the truth is probably even worse.

Just food for thought, that's all. Especially to those newbies out there.

It is all good.. I understand what you are saying and I agree with you. Like I said. I don't know what is true what isn't.. I wasn't in the loop then and heard some so I don't really know much.. But like I said, she helped me alot to understand heart D and let me know what I needed to to with it when no one else wanted to. There are ALOT of breeders that don't want to be mentors and HATE newbies and they want to think they run this breed. When I was new with the boards and being a kennel, I was lead down the wrong road and soon wised up.

If you was involved in some of it then you know the truth and that is the reason for you actions.. But I wasn't there or was involved at that time so all I have is rumors or hearsay. I worry about my kennel. That is enough for me...
