| We use Revolution for her tick and flea medication. I've been reading the links you sent me and our breeder recommended the same thing. We're definitely taking her in asap to get treated. |
any news? my dog does that... licking her feet.. but only happen when she is in crate...
she does get mild reddish mark on her belly too... i was told that light color coat dogs are prone to that?? Her father got it and her sister too... i was thinking maybe it runs in the family... but no fleas or mites of some sort.
it effect her sister more then mine and the father.
My dog had them last month for few days but now there's nothing.. but i know she will get them again because it wasn't the first. it usually occuared when the weather changed.. maybe it is heat rash? |

| We did a mite dip to rule that out for my puppy and it didn't help. My husband and I are in the process of making an appt to start allergy testing. I just want to know what it is that makes her break out so we can avoid it. My dog scratches to the point she draws blood. I will be sure to let you know what we find out with the allergy testing because if you're like me, you can't stand to see your pet uncomfortable for one minute. Good luck and I'll keep you posted. |

Thanks.. we couldn't find out the cause ourselve too.. would be good to see if you could. It couldn't be food because we all feed our dog different food and they all have similar skin condition.
We think it may be some form of allergy or weather condition. |

| Any news yet? Have you got any allergy results back yet? I am very curious to hear what may be causing the issue. |

| I am so glad ya'll are touching on this! I've been going nuts! My 3 year old female does have allergies, I was worried about s. mange but going on your suggestions, I think it can be ruled out. I give Ivo. for heartworms... I have had some success with OTC allergy treatments, I started with 1 benadryl 2 times a day and switched to generic claritin, hope this helps. |
