| Hey my Amstaff is going on 9 years this May, not that you could tell with her energy and great shape. But I was wondering as she approaches her golden years is there anything I should be doing to ensure that she remain healthy. Like are there any nutritional supplements I should be giving her at this point. I was reading up on the benefits of Nupro Joint Support Silver, and wondered if I should consider it. Or maybe there are health ailments that are specific to older Amstaffs that I should be looking out for. Thanks for the help. |

| My amstaff will 11 years old in 1 July, I give him some nutritional suplement (vitamins, calcium), he's healthy and very vigorous. He's food is very important, but ask the vet, he will tell to you what is the best food and training for your dog. Now I don't give him "dog food" (he had problem because "dog food"), I prepare his food. Success! |

I give my senior dogs a daily supplement containing glucosamine and chondroitin. You can actually reverse and prevent future damage to the cartilage in joints. My senior dogs feel and act a lot better after they have been on it. They seem to feel really good so I know it works.
Here is one of my seniors "Blue", who is 11 this year (10.5 in pic)

K84, I like to use the following products:
-Cosequin DS Chewable Tablets, Joint Supplement For Dogs
-PRO-FLEX Glucosamine & Chondroitin Supplement
You can easily find them online for purchase by their names. |
