Bella is 5 months old. While she doesn't chew many things like she used to, I hate to keep her in the crate all the time while I am nearby.
Has anyone ever used a tie-down of maybe six feet or so?
I have read that if you keep the dog on the tie-down several times per day for fifteen minutes or so, it will teach them to be calm.
Also, when guests come over, putting her on the tie-down will encourage her not to jump up. |

I do something kinda like what you are talking about. Here are pictures. This is a device that goes under the door and clamps so that it is sturdy, and then it has the leash with a clip at each end, I will usually put the dog bed and toys here also, but I find this method works really well for keeping a younger dog from getting into mischief.

That is what I was thinking of.
I am concerned that it might be to frustrating or confusing for the puppy. |
