Imy patner has an amstaff and about 6 months ago he moved to his fathers who has a Labrador and they are both 1 yr old, they have recently started to chew each others ears to the extant they have put sores on each others ears. we have tried putting stuff on their ears that doesn't taste good but they keep on chewing we tried the buckets on their heads but they chewed them off each other. we have ended up separating them and now they are rubbing their ears on the brick wall of the house or trees and still getting sores. the vet just keeps suggesting things to put on their ears but non is working.
so i was just wondering if anyone has an ideas to stop this?

Did the vet ever prescribe an antibiotic (or as Skylar said, mite medicine) to clear up whatever was causing the condition? It seems like whatever it is or was continues to irritate the dogs causing them to scratch - an endless cylce. Bob
