Bella is only afraid of marching bands and the vacuum.
I had her at a tailgate one time, in East Lansing, and none other than JoePa and the Penn St. marching band walked by.
Bella got so scared, she leaped into my arms, and shook, terrified. She peed all over my stomach as I held her. JoePa paused for some pictures with us. As he walked away, he said to me "I hope a marching band doesn't break into your house."
We laughed.
would your dog protect you?

I think I have it covered.....my JRT bitches WILL and can take care of the ankles, Grumpy the Bulldog will take out the knees and Sharkie will lick 'em to death........
No, I do believe Sharkie WILL protect me and as he is getting more and more massive, he will just stare at a stranger without any sound. Makes most folks back up a few steps!!! I have not been in a situation where it would have been needed, but have noticed him keeping a close eye on the driveway, indicating by a deep grumbling that someone is approaching. I am not encouraging or discouraging this behaviour. As was said previously; Homeland Security!! |

Jack definitely not he's VERY soft, Hanks bark is very good but he's also a smoocher Raven very possible she's very alert and watches everyone that goes past very intently also barks very aggresively if they hang around too long plus she's much harder than the other two. Would love to get one that I could maybe do schutzhund or something with. I'll leave my final decision till they grow up!

I'd like to think they would. Have always stopped them from attacking people on the street that might have looked weird as in different from other ordinary people or told them to stop barking and stay at their places when we had guests.
If it's not an American Staffordshire Terrier, it's just a dog!

I just found out that my ex recently went into my place while I was at work. Taz was his dog originally, but he did not even recognize him and apparently gave him a hard time getting into the house, growling and barking at him. He was hard pressed to talk him down and get in the door, or so I hear. Needless to say, my locks are now changed. I also know Taz will challenge anyone who tries to enter house that is not me. LOL and here I thought he was a little wussie-pants!

I know my oldest will die protecting her family. The next 2 in age will protect us also. The youngest I'm not sure if she would. I think she would follow up the other 3 because she wouldn't want to be left out but she may actually think it's a game. She's just very babied by us and the other 3. My husband use to wrestle with out oldest and they would play fight before we got the others and she has come between another person and myself. She didn't growl, raise her hair, or anything but she would not move until my husband pulled her away. I know it's not a good idea and we don't so it anymore but we my hubby and I play I use to say the word "owie" Chy Chy and she would bark and bounce around my hubby or bounce off of him like she was trying to push him away from me...LOL. It was a fun game when it was just her. Now we have to many and they all get to wound up. People actually thought my hubby was hurting her but then if he was just sitting there not paying attention to her at all she would come running up and bounce off of him like she was trying to pick a fight it was funny because her tail would be wagging the whole time.
